How long have you worked at Boothroyd:
Since April 2022. I finished my A-levels in 2021, which wasn’t easy especially during COVID, and I then had some time off playing football, going on holiday and working at Sainsburys to fill the rest of my time. I was not sure what my plans were and what I wanted to do. I was told about an opportunity at Boothroyd’s and a year later I’m really enjoying it and learning so much every day.

What do you like most about Kenilworth:
The family friendly feel the town has and the opportunities available to young people are somethings I really like about the town. I played football for Kenilworth Town and I have been involved in Scouting in Kenilworth too.

What is your favourite period of property:
Modern properties for me. The well finished interior and bright spaces are just two of the reasons.

If you could live anywhere (except Kenilworth) where would it be:
I would go to France or Switzerland for the Skiing in the winter. In the Summer, I’d live in Greece and visit the islands during the warm summers they have.

What is your favourite property you have dealt with:
My favourite sale was a property on Mayfield Drive. Lovely buyers and lovely sellers who both were very responsive throughout the process helping the transaction go smoothly. The buyers had amazing plans to turn it into a beautiful modern house which is now well underway.

Where is your favourite place for a day out in Warwickshire:
I love visiting the British Motor Museum in Gaydon and seeing all the old and new cars they have on display there.

How long have you worked at Boothroyd:

Nearly two years now and I love it, they are a great work family.

What do you like most about Kenilworth:

I love the sense of community in Kenilworth, and how friendly everyone is, when out walking my dog everyone always stops to say hello. Having grown up in Kenilworth it’s a lovely safe place to go out with your friends and there is lots of clubs to get involved in outside of school, swimming, dancing, guiding and running.

What is your favourite period of property:

It has to be Victorian houses, the tall ceilings, bay windows, decorative brick work, and feature fireplaces. I would be biased as we have a Victorian house and discovering historic items when renovating was very exciting dating back to the war. I love a house with some history and character.

If you could live anywhere (except Kenilworth) where would it be:

The New Forest as we have a holiday home there and every time we visit the New Forest it feels very like Kenilworth with lovely shops, restaurants and friendly people.

What is your favourite property you have ever dealt with:

My favourite property I have ever dealt with was moving a lady to Ashdene Gardens as she was so grateful to be moving closer to her family and being able to see her grandchildren more often.

Where is your favourite place for a day out in Warwickshire

Right on my doorstep, a lovely dog walk with the family around Kenilworth castle the Millennium walk is a must here in Kenilworth followed by a drink in the queen and castle.

An interesting fact about you:

I love the thrill of an adrenaline rush and did a Skydive last year which was amazing.

What do you like most about Kenilworth:

Kenilworth has a calming small town feel still despite the continued development.  It’s an amazing place to bring up children with fantastic schools. We are very lucky to have the new state of the art Kenilworth secondary school where my son has just stared in year 7 and is thoroughly enjoying it.

What is your favourite period of property:

1950’s era tends to offer a decent plot size, with excellent scope to extend/alter and put your own stamp on a house but still retaining a decent size garden in most instances even when extended.

If you could live anywhere (except Kenilworth) where would it be:

Loire Valley Region in France is a favourite of mine. The weather is generally very good, its picturesque and not too commercial.  With my wife and three children we tend to visit the same area every year during the school holidays.

What is your favourite property you have ever dealt with:

There have been so many interesting properties over the last 23 years all have different reasons and stories behind the sale and personalities involved.  However, St Johns View on the Warwick Road was real eye opener when I first started.  It was in a terrible state of disrepair, a deceased estate. The lady had occupied one room with a gas lamp for light and no heating.

Where is your favourite place for a day out in Warwickshire:
I’ll bend the borders of Warwickshire a little to say Villa Park…. Nothing better than a Saturday 3pm full house and a home win!

How long have you worked at Boothroyd?

I was offered some work experience with the company in October 2019 and I officially joined the Boothroyd & Company family in January 2020.

What do you like most about Kenilworth?

It is my home! I have lived in Kenilworth all my life except for the 3 years in Cardiff whilst studying at University.  I believe that Kenilworth is a fantastic place to live and I have a lot of very fond memories from growing up in this town.

What is your favourite period of property?

Victorian and/or Edwardian.  I like properties that have a story behind them, have character and have been well looked after over the years.

If you could live anywhere (except Kenilworth) where would it be?

Italy – wine country – though I’d have to learn Italian!

What is your favourite property that you have dealt with?

Possibly too early to tell  However my grandparents have moved to Kenilworth through Boothroyd & Co after living in Lyme Regis for over 30 years.  I’m glad they moved house through the estate agency that I am a part of because it meant that we could make the process as smooth as possible for them as we try to do for all our clients.

Where is your favourite place for a day out in Warwickshire?

A place right on my door step – the Millenium Trail walk around Kenilworth Castle.

How long have you worked at Boothroyd:
Since 2015.

What do you like most about Kenilworth:
I like the sense of community. To put it into words, you really notice it when it snows and the whole of Kenilworth heads for Abbey Fields. You sense a real togetherness in the town on those odd days.

What is your favourite period of property:
It has to be The Arts and Craft era which started in the 1880’s. Being a keen gardener this was an era when gardens became almost extensions of the house with “outside rooms” created with hedging.

What is your favourite property you have ever dealt with:
My favourite property has to have been a Victorian House sold in the grounds of St Johns Church in Bromsgrove. The most memorable thing were the bricks. You could see children’s hand prints from when the moulds were patted before going into the kiln. The house was sold to the ‘Richard and Judy’ show and formed part of their daytime show as it was refurbished and eventually given away, along with its contents in a competition.

Where is your favourite place for a day out in Warwickshire:
Charlecote Park. On an autumnal day, it was simply stunning…and getting away from everything commercial, heaven.

An interesting fact about you:

As a teenager I played a competitive football match against Alan Shearer.  At the time thinking I could play and then experiencing the reality of being on the same football pitch as somebody who was on a completely different level to anything I’d seen before.

If you could live anywhere (except Kenilworth) where would it be:
In England it would be ‘Beer’ in Devon or overseas – ‘Cala Galdana’ in Menorca – Both next to amazing coastal walks

What is your favourite property you have ever dealt with:
Rounds Hill – immaculately presented family home – the large bi-fold patio doors from kitchen diner open onto a lovely patio area and garden with far reaching views over fields.

Charlecote Park is in stunning grounds with lots of long walks – Great place for a family picnic and lovely to see the deer.

All of them! They all have their positives and individual quirks that make the job all the more interesting.

If you could live anywhere (except Kenilworth) where would it be:

Switzerland, for the skiing and copious amounts of raclette and cheese fondue!

What is your favourite property you have ever dealt with:

A house with views over the Abbey Fields in Kenilworth – changing ownership after many happy years as a family home – mixed emotions for the family moving out but also interesting to see how the house was then altered and updated for a new generation.

Any of the golf clubs !

What do you like most about Kenilworth:

The schools , especially the new Kenilworth Schol ( my old school !) which is leading the way in the UK as one of the biggest and in the top 30 comprehensive schools. I have been and its amazing ! We should be very proud. I also like the restaurants and pubs in old town and main street. It is a great town for children to grow up in , as did both of my boys who took part in all the local teams and groups such as scouts , football , rugby and local theatre.

What is your favourite period of property:

My favourite properties are a mixture of old and new. I love a house that you can tell has been a lovely family home for many years . Equally , I like a new , tidy modern look .

If you could live anywhere (except Kenilworth) where would it be:

I am born and bred here & I have no plans to ever leave Kenilworth , especially now that I live in the town centre with easy access to shops , pubs , restaurants and work.

What is your favourite property you have ever dealt with:

Crackley Hill – Grandmother’s house. Lovely memories and pleased to pass on to a young family to let history repeat itself.

Where is your favourite place for a day out in Warwickshire:

A great day out for me would be a trip to London with “The Girls”. Prosecco and pastries on the train down , lunch and people watching in Covent Garden followed by watching a musical in the West End and then cocktails after before coming home.

An interesting fact about you:

I sing with Kenilworth Pop Voices Choir and absolutely love it ! We, about 40 of us , rehearse once a week and perform at many local events . We can be seen soon performing  at the local  Christmas Market , Warwick Castle Lights Switch on and at St Davids Cathedral Pembrokeshire.

Once a year we perform at Birmingham Town Hall with all 300 of us from Pop Voices locally , this year we sang a range of 20 songs such as Proud , Bridge Over Trouble Water , Show Must Go On , Viva La Vida & Mr Blue Sky  to name but a few !  A highlight for me this year was singing in New York , Carnigue Hall with choirs from around the world. As a lover of musicals , choir is such a great way to enjoy singing , make new friends  , have fun and an easy way to forget the stresses and troubles in the world . I thoroughly recommend it !
